For 10 years Kenny had dreamed of having a boosted black hatch, and had found the perfect car to build from. Being from the northern region of rust, when he found a car from the south that didn't have the rust he was used to he jumped on the chance to trade one of his cars for it. Although, not the best looking car to start...

Shortly after he got the car he tore into it, to "resurrect it from the rice" as Kenny put it. He tore out everything from the interior, the bumpers, spoiler all the way to the engine. During the process he went through 2 different turbo's, 2 engines, and a couple transmissions. Sometimes making your project perfect is a bit of trial and error in the real world!
The de-riced Honda in it's new home..

In the end he spent 15 months total working on the car, countless hours, and the typical blood sweat and tears of any real project.

Kenny has been working on Honda's for about 10 years and his passion has lead him to open his own repair shop over the last 2 years. The Swap Shop is a small shop near Onaway Michigan where Kenny does everything from your routine maintenance and up-keep, to engine swaps and turbo kits...Honda's being his specialty. From speaking with Kenny I can tell he's put his heart and soul into this shop, and shows just that with the work he performs day in and day out helping his community get both affordable auto repair and the best aftermarket support he can provide. He's recently become EFI tuning certified and will soon have a dyno, stay tuned! Check him out at The Swap Shop and like his page!

With this car, he aims to create a completely reliable "street-able monster" to be able to enjoy more than just at the track. In the amount of time Kenny has had the car he has done a great job reviving this amazing car from the horrors in which it began, and is well on the way to his goals. While he has bigger and better plans for the engine in this car, it's already and impressive street machine and here at AAE, we can't wait to post an update when he gets it to the track this year! Thanks Kenny for sharing your ride with us!
